Can I catch a virus by looking at a web page?

Not in most circumstances. However, your computer can catch a virus if you download an executable program from an untrustworthy source or an email with one of these files attached and then, of your own free will, open the program.

Viewing images, filling out forms on the internet and so on is harmless. So, most likely, is downloading a program from a respectable source with a reputation to protect.

However, in any circumstances, it is always recommended that you have a virus detecting program such as Norton Anti-virus or AVG running on your computer at all times.
