How will people find my website?
In order to help generate visits to your site, your site should be listed online with search engines. Search engines are commonly used to find information and/or companies online.
The search engine is actually a giant database listing thousands of websites around the world. Search engine ‘robots’ go out and run around the Net finding websites, however, you should list your website address with the search engines, to have your website included in their data base so you can be found when someone is searching for you.
Once your page is registered, its status should be monitored. It is not a difficult job, but it can be very time consuming and should be done periodically. Search engine listings should also be checked to make sure your page still comes up in a search. It can take from 6-12 weeks for your site to be included in a search engine’s listings.
